Canada needs beavers. Beavers need a voice.
Beavers can help create and maintain wetlands, support biodiversity, and influence how water moves through landscapes. Their activity can also create conflict when human infrastructure and beaver habitat overlap. Beavers are recognized as ecosystem engineers because of the substantial effect they can have on wetland habitats.
Yet Canada has no national organization focused exclusively on advancing beaver conservation, coexistence, and beaver-supported watershed restoration.
